When it comes to our homes, we all do things our own way. Some of us may prefer cooking simple meals or freezing complete meals in advance, while others may prepare five courses every single night. Some of us may dedicate one day a week to doing laundry, while others of us may struggle to keep the laundry volume down by doing a load each day. The same can be said when it comes to home cleaning. We each have our own personality and way of doing things.

Want to know what type of cleaning personality you have? Answer this question as honestly as possible.

Your mother-in-law calls and tells you she’ll be over in an hour. What do you do?

a. Look around the house in satisfaction. Your dishes are done, the laundry is nowhere to be seen, and there’s no signs of mess, clutter, or grime. You whip up a fresh batch of cookies so the entire house will smell wonderful.

b. You move the dishes from the sink to the dishwasher, wipe the crumbs off the counters, spruce up the guest bathroom, and then spend the rest of the time looking for that fruit dish she got you for Christmas that you know she’ll ask about.

c. A feeling of panic sweeps over you as you look around your house. You crazily run from one end to the other, picking up dirty socks, doing dishes, and scrubbing that odd stain off the kitchen floor. By the time your mother-in-law knocks on the door, you’re sweating, but the entire house is reasonably presentable.
